Disc golf is a fun and accessible sport that combines elements of traditional golf and frisbee. While the basics are easy to pick up, learning the language of the game can be a little tricky. Here’s a glossary of common disc golf terms:

General Terms:

  • Round: A complete course playing.
  • 🥏 Disc: The flying object used in disc golf.
  • 🏌️‍♀️ Player: Someone playing disc golf.
  • 🏆 Score: The total number of throws it takes to complete a round.
  • 🎯 Basket: The target that players throw the disc at.

Throw Types:

  • ⬆️ Up Shot: A throw made to the top of a hill.
  • ⬇️ Down Shot: A throw made from the top of a hill.

Flight Characteristics:
